Ayushmann Khurrana’s recently released crime drama movie Article 15 is keeping up with the steady business at the box office. The film has generated decent business from the domestic box office till now. The film has made in a limited budget and doing well at the box office. The social-political film is generating good business from the India box office despite Shahid Kapoor and Kiara Advani’s Kabir Singh‘s blockbuster performance. Ayushmann starrer was released on June 28 and the film has successfully completed its first week run a good note. It is currently running in into its second week and did an impressive start of week 2. Article 15 grossed Rs 5 crore on its second Friday, it is expected to pick up the momentum during the weekend.

Article 15 has collected around Rs 5 crore on its eighth day while the film earned Rs 3.05 crore on Thursday (Day 7) that leads the total box office collection to Rs 34.21 crore. The film performing better than expected. The film performed well throughout its first week. However, Shahid’s Kabir Singh, which was released a week before Ayushmann’s film, is ruling the box office since its release. Shahid starrer is standing strong with the total box office collection of Rs 218.60 crore.

Anubhav Sinha’s directorial movie Article 15 is also giving a tough competition to this Friday release romantic drama movie Malaal that marked the Bollywood debut of veteran actor Javed Jaffrey’s son Meezaan Jaffery and Bollywood director, producer, screenwriter, and music director, Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s niece Sharmin Segal. Ayushamann’s film is expected to gain momentum during its second weekend. However, today’s ICC Cricket World Cup India vs Sri Lanka match can affect the box office business of the movie. The movie was opened up with Rs 5.02 crore, while its raked Rs 7.25 and Rs 7.77 crore on Saturday and Sunday respectively that led the opening weekend collection to Rs 20.04 crore. The movie has collected Rs 3.97 crore, Rs 3.67 crore and Rs 3.48 crore on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday respectively.
