Ayushmann Khurrana’s much-awaited film Article 15 has hit the theatres today as the film was scheduled to release on 28th June 2019, Friday. The latest crime drama movie stars Ayushmann, Isha Talwar, Sayani Gupta, Kumud Mishra and Manoj Pahwa. The makers of the film managed to create enough buzz for the move among fans before release. As Ayushmann is in the lead role in the film, the film is supposed to perform well at the box office as Ayushmann isn’t shy when it’s come to experimenting with unique roles.
Mulk fame director Anubhav Sinha helmed the movie that focuses on the sensitive social topic of discrimination on grounds of religion, race, caste, sex or place of birth. The story of the movie is inspired by the 2014 Badaun gang-rape murder of two teenage girls case and 2016 Una flogging incident, according to the reports. The film received ‘UA’ certificate from the Film Certification Board of India.
