A boy from the South-Africa was beaten and Kicked by a man at the Groblersdal Game Shopping Center. After he told his parents and friends about the incident, they filed an FIR against Corrie Pretorius, the man who was beating and kicking the boy brutally. On 16th June, Corrie Pretorius got arrested for the allegations. After the incident, the boy was shifted to the Groblersdal Hospital, where he was treated for the injuries.
On Friday, Corrie Pretorius was summoned by the court and was charged with the assaults of engendering harm to the 16-year-old boy at gunpoint. Sekhukhune District Municipality Cllr Julia Lata Mathebe’s Executive Mayor announced the sentence for the act of violence against the 16-year-old boy. The Executive Mayor of Sekhukhune District Municipality Cllr Julia Lata Mathebe said, that it is really very sad to know about the old man beating and kicking the teenage boy.
They might know the reasons, but behaving in a harsh way towards anyone, or reacting in a violent manner is a solution to the problem. Executive Mayor has also commanded the police to investigate the entire matter. According to the sources, the incident took place because of the racial intention of Groblersdal.
According to the constitution of South Africa, the accused of the case of violence will be charged, and if the case has been a very sensitive matter then the accused will also have to be prisoned for some time.
According to the National Directorate for Public Prosecution’s representative, Mashuda Malabi-Dzhangi, the incident took place on 15 June 2022 at the Groblersdal Game Shopping Center. He said, that the allegations are the man got angry and started to kick the teenage boy. The man started to kick the boy towards the main gate of the store, and he also threatened the boy with a gun. Later the man left the store leaving the boy on the floor.
The legislative authority for the case of violence can take immediate action if required, especially in the case of women. The formation of the National Directorate for Public Prosecution was placed when there were extreme numbers of violence cases being reported to the police of South Africa.
